TISSUE TECHNOLOGY

Synovis set the standard for crosslinked bovine pericardium products in 1985. Building on the success of our initial crosslinked technology, Synovis introduced a patented process for permanent repair in 1997 and a remodelable format in 2001. Synovis has two patented tissue technologies. Apex Processing® which uses glutaraldehyde to reduce the antigenicity of bovine pericardium and create a permanent biomaterial, and Veritas® processing which uses propylene oxide to reduce the antigenicity of bovine pericardium and create a remodelable biomaterial.

Each tissue technology produces a desired implantable biomaterial product that addresses the particular needs of surgical procedures. The strongest testament to our technologies is our proven track record of success.
