About Us
Business Development

Synovis Life Technologies is interested in collaborations with domestic and international companies that leverage each company’s strengths to bring significant advances to patients, physicians, and healthcare providers. These collaborations are typically acquisitions or product licenses which leverage our research and development, clinical and regulatory, biologics manufacturing, and worldwide sales and marketing.

Acquisitions & Licensing
Reporting directly to the CEO, the corporate development team identifies, negotiates, and completes acquisition and licensing opportunities for all business units worldwide. The team helps potential partners identify and work with the business unit most likely to be interested in a specific project with strong cross-functional support and early input from senior management. Once transactions are completed, the team assists senior business unit managers with the integration of the new product or business.

Criteria
We are focused on innovative medical device companies with commercially available products (regulatory approval 510(k) or PMA), proprietary technology, and indications for significant segments in our current surgical markets in the US and outside the US. Minimum near-term revenue and EBITDA expectations are generally $10 million and $1 million, respectively.

Process
As part of our strategic growth initiative, we are actively seeking and exploring business development opportunities. To initiate our review process and receive full consideration, we suggest you submit a non-confidential executive business summary with enough information to determine your strengths – team, technology, product, and markets, including information on your customers and competition. Due to the numerous requests, we do not sign confidentiality agreements until successful review of your executive business summary. Any additional information requests will follow this initial review and signing a confidentiality agreement as appropriate. This initial review and communication with you may take up to four weeks to complete.

For additional information or to submit your executive summary, we encourage you to contact:
